My time at G2 Game Design has drawn to a close. I won't forget my time working for my boss there, possibly the best boss I've ever had. The work
itself shifted between programming, math, and design... and it gave me a lot of experience in a lot of different areas of software development.
I'm taking some time to mull over my options at the moment and I'm thinking it may be time for a move. Still a lot to decide...
There are plenty of great things about living in Las Vegas. I have some great friends, there is always something to do, and people always want to
visit you. When it comes to game development though, the whole place is a death-trap. There is only one well-known video game development house in
town. After that, you'd better be interested in casino games (fortunately I am) or you'll be looking for a new home real quick. I have my choice of
quite a few directions now. I can go back into video games in Los Angeles or San Francisco (or maybe even Austin...), or maybe take a simulation
job over on the east coast. I can stick with casino games a bit longer and move up to management and production roles. I could move into database
management if I want to make some real money... or I could even move away from programming for a while and start a small business, since I've been
researching that for quite some time. My options cover a large range and I have a lot to think about in the next few weeks. Until then, I'll be
completing tasks I've had on my to-do lists for... well I don't know how long. Some of these lists are probably over a year old... So much to do.
The Site
This site is open to all viewers and I would gladly accept any and all inquiries regarding it or any content within. Although the intention of the site is to provide a portfolio for potential employers, I am always looking for business connections or interesting acquaintances, so feel free to drop me a line.
I'm always looking for interesting projects to work on, so if you have any ideas for additions to my portfolio or just have an idea you'd like to see come alive, feel free to send me a request. No matter how ridiculous it seems it might just peek my interests.
Note: Any pieces of software offered for download on this site are built and owned by me or in part by me within a larger group of programmers. Although the source to my work is not offered, if proof is required for any reasonable purpose, I will be more than happy to provide it.
Now that the formalities are out of the way, enjoy your stay!
